Foreign companies are growing

An InfoCamere-Unioncamere analysis, on data from the Business Register, reveals how the number of foreign companies in Italy grows with each survey. In 2023, between January and June, new registrations were 35,500 (+257 compared to 2022), while terminations stopped at 20,923 (+1,024 compared to 2022), generating a positive balance of over 14,500 units. The driving force behind foreign entrepreneurship in the first half of 2023 (+3%) were construction and services, which together represent 44% of the total, and agriculture (+5%). Trade, which is the main sector with 261 thousand companies, recorded a slight slowdown (-0.7%) as did the manufacturing industry (-0.3%) which overall has 47 thousand companies
